See Why FG Shouldn't Wait For Strike Before Responding to Union's Demand

It is longer a news that Federal Government usually wait until Unions embarked on strike before a memorandum of action agreed upon be carried out. Now, Unions has come to understand that the only language Federal Government (FG) understands is strike action. Consequently, the Academic staff Union of Universities ASUU has yesterday, maintained that he will not suspend the ongoing strike action. According to Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi the national president of the union, the federal government has continually falled to fulfill it's memorandum of action agreed in 2019, insisting that the federal government may trigger another round of Crisis should it force ASUU members into IPPIS scheme.
However, what federal government fail to put into consideration is that such strike actions in any sectors eg. Health or Education, has gross negative impact in the life of the masses they serves. FG must not always wait for strike before the needful be done to avoid the consequences of strike on Masses.
